A local government organisation is looking for a finance officer to join their team. The finance officer will manage finance and accountancy systems and undertake a variety of technical tasks which arise in the financial year.
Finance Officer Temporary - 3 Months £11-13 per hour
The main duties of this role include: - Manage accounts payables and receivables transactions - Responsible for the administration of Council held mortgages in accordance with prevailing legislation - Deal with queries from managers`, vendors` and customers`, taking appropriate action to resolve - Carry out system reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and taking remedial action - Provide information and appropriate financial advice to budget holders and senior officers
The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge of local government finance especially in accounts payable and receivable. They will have experience of using SAP and I-world as well as good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. They will have strong communication skills and be able to work as a team and on their own.
