Job description
An engineering solution company is looking for Regional Business Controller. The successful candidate will report to Regional Finance and Accounting and be in charge of the finance activities.
Key responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with project managers to develop and maintain project budgets and schedules, monitor project KPIs, and update progress reports against work schedules, including cost and cash flow planning (timely billing and collection). Recommend actions for improving project progress.
  • Prepare monthly project financial reports detailing actual performance and forecasts of key value drivers (revenues, gross profit/margin, bookings/incoming orders, backlog). Conduct variance analysis against budget and forecast while ensuring compliance with IFRS and Group Accounting Principles.
  • Conduct project review meetings with Cluster/Business Unit Leads and Regional Management to identify risks, define mitigation strategies, and ensure projects meet expectations.
  • Assist in the budgeting process for the business unit.
  • Support project managers in reviewing customer bids to ensure accurate hourly rates and achieve target margins. Guide the bid approval process from a financial perspective.
  • Enhance controlling processes, tools, and project documentation for ongoing efficiency improvements.
  • Undertake ad-hoc assignments as required.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.
  • 5 years of experience in commercial finance and controlling, preferably in project controlling with active experience in international financial regulations.
  • Strong data affinity with excellent analytical and collaboration skills.
  • Initiative-taking ability and capable of managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Open to new challenges and eager to learn new methods, tools, and share knowledge.
  • Results-driven within a continuous improvement/data-driven culture.
  • Ability to work autonomously, collaboratively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced project-oriented environment.
  • Problem-solving skills, adept at navigating ambiguity, and demonstrating intuitive judgment.
