I am currently recruiting for a FEMALE LSA/ HLTA in Haringey with a PE Focus for a September start

This could be encompassing in a PE / Sports Science Degree or Sports Coaching (Athletics, Football, Cricket, Rounders, Basketball, Netball)

You must have a Drivers License, with no driving convictions or such like and have held this for 3 years.

You will be passionate about PE and healthy living as well as being able to engage a class and deliver innovative and exciting lessons, as well as a having a good handle on behaviour management.

Duties include:
Supporting and assisting the PE Lead Teacher in the organisation, development and delivery of PE lessons, sports fixtures and matches
Delivering safe and engaging lunchtime, breakfast and after school activities
Working under the guidance of staff to include all pupils in PE and school sport and to promote a healthy and active lifestyle
Requirements and prospects

Personal qualities:
Ability to work effectively and with support from the teacher to deliver sport related learning activities to small groups and whole classes
A basic understanding of principles of child development and learning processes and a willingness to contribute to the support and development of children
Able to form effective and appropriate relationships with both young pupils and adults
High standards of personal conduct in and outside school
Reliable, committed and self-motivated with a flexible approach to the working week
A good role model
Enthusiastic about promoting sport and healthy lifestyle choices to others
Previous experience of sports/coaching is desirable, but not essential
A commitment to learn and develop
Desired qualifications
Previous work experience in a sporting environment in any capacity, e.g. after-school club or sports club
Previous work experience as a coach or sports leader

You will need to have a DBS on the update service, or willing to apply for one, and have 2 satisfactory references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
