ASD/PMLD Teaching Assistant

This specific primary school is located in West London based in Ealing, with boys and girls aged 4 to 11 years.

For this particular role as a SEN Teaching Assistant you are required to support children with a range of complex moderate to severe learning difficulties, including autistic spectrum disorders (ASC).

If you have a passion for the responsibility of educating children with disabilities and special needs, then this is the job for you.

The highlighted school objectives are to encourage all children to express themselves creatively, to develop all children's communication, socialisation and independent skills, and also to differentiate the national curriculum to meet all children's special educational needs.

The provision contains sensory rooms, soft play areas, gym, bike areas, food technology room, swimming pool and outdoor areas. Initially after your introduction you will have the opportunity to work within these facilities.

Ideally the experience for this role is working with children with special educational needs, preferably key stage 1-2. You will need excellent communication skills and resilience. Also, to be able to use your own initiative and be a team player.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
