SEMH Teaching Assistant

Are you looking for an uplifting and rewarding role working with children who require extra care and support within their learning environment? Are you a compassionate person who is looking for a new challenge?

My client is looking to appoint a SEMH Teaching assistant to join them. The role will require you to work 1:1 with a pupil presented with Social, Emotional Behavioural Issues as well as Mental Health. The 'Outstanding' primary school located in Newham is wildly supported by the local community and supports local activities and public events.

The role will require an enthusiastic individual with a good understanding of SEMH and the Autism Spectrum. You must maintain an understanding and have a compassionate approach to pupils and their needs and abilities. Experience in another similar role is essential, dealing with impulsive behaviours whilst being supportive. Qualifications within SEND would be an advantage.
