Protocol Education are working on behalf of an Outstanding Infant and Nursery School in Trafford who are looking for a Deputy Manager for their Out of School Club.

The role is all year round and includes a decent amount of time for planning and supporting the manager with rotas etc as well as direct work with the children. The hours are 1.15pm til 6.15pm every day during term time, (1.15pm til 3pm is for doing planning etc before after school club opens) and then either same or an early shift - 7.30am to 12.30pm - during school hols. The club is always closed over the Christmas holidays and this is taken out of the annual holiday entitlement.

It requires someone trained to at least Level 3 NVQ in teaching and learning or a Play leader qualification. It also requires someone who has previously had responsibility for directing other staff/ planning activities such as a room leader in day care for example. The current manager in the club is training to be a teacher and expects to move on in a couple of years to do this role instead so there is scope for the successful candidate taking over as club manager when he eventually leaves.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
