Are you currently deciding if you would like to get into teaching or education?
Do you have a specialist subject? Do you have experience in a school or teaching students? No teaching qualification is needed to be a cover supervisor!

Cover supervising is a brilliant way to gain insight into how different schools work and will help you decide what kind of school you would love to work in! You can also gain a lot of experience in other aspects of education you may be interested in - such as working with smaller intervention groups to support borderline GCSE children, helping SEN children or coaching in schools.

By working as a cover supervisor, you will work in Secondary schools in your area. You will go into schools and cover lessons which have work fully set and planned ready for your arrival. You can deliver lessons in your specialist subject for the experience should you wish. During general cover work you deliver the set work to the class and keep the students on task. Cover supervisors are in a very high demand at our secondary schools, and this experience looks exceptional on teaching applications Such as a PGCE, GTP, and SCITT courses.
