Protocol Education are providing the opportunity for a dedicated and skilled learning support assistant to work in a special needs' secondary co-educational school for students aged 11-19 with a primary diagnosis of Autism or Asperger's Syndrome. Our school value's the importance of embracing individual uniqueness within every child, to boost their confidence, improve their behaviour, communication and social interaction. This school aims to help pupils realise their potential by utilising different teaching techniques and learning different motivators to meet individual needs. As a support assistant your responsibility will also be to create a stimulating safe, fun and healthy environment where pupils feel happy and appreciated. An extended part of your role will be to accept the responsibility for socially disadvantaged' pupils and are committed to meeting their social, and academic needs within a caring special school environment.

The Role:
• Start Date, September 2019.
• Full time, Monday - Friday.
• The London Borough of Southwark
• Salary £60 - 80 per day.

Requirements:
• Relevant experience working in schools.
• Previous experience working with SEN children, and passionate about the learning and development of SEND pupils.
• Capable of dealing with challenging behaviour, promoting focus within a classroom environment and giving on-going 1:1 support.
• Able to provide 2 relevant references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
