As a behaviour support assistant, your role will be to provide support and encouragement to pupils, with the vision to transform their lives for the better, through positive relationships and engaged learning, so that they may become happy and active citizens in their community. The school is committed to creating an inclusive environment for their staff and pupils, treating everyone with dignity and respect where they anticipate and respond positively to different needs and circumstances so that everyone can achieve their potential. A vital part of your role will be to build upon the foundation of the school's curriculum providing high quality teaching and learning. The curriculum is intended to ensure that staff are working to achieve the best possible results for all their students in their lives, especially around long-term outcomes such as employment, living as independently as possible with the greatest degree of self-sufficiency, enjoying good health and wellbeing.

The Role:
• Start Date, September 2019.
• Full time, Monday - Friday.
• The London Borough of Croydon.
• Salary £60 - 80 per day.

Requirements:
• Relevant experience working in schools.
• Previous experience working with SEN children, and passionate about the learning and development of SEND pupils.
• Capable of dealing with challenging behaviour, promoting focus within a classroom environment and giving on-going 1:1 support.
• Able to provide 2 relevant references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
