As a learning support assistant, part of your role will be to create a setting that will inspire each child to become self-confident, independent life-learners who can confidently express themselves and make their own decisions. Our community special school caters to the needs of children and young people between the ages of 11 and 19 years who have significant learning difficulties including those with an additional diagnosis of autism, and those with additional medical needs. The school is a beautiful, purpose built, state-of-the-art teaching and learning facility, including a hydrotherapy pool, a library and dedicated play leisure and garden spaces. We are looking for an induvial who is committed to upholding excellent standards with the high expectation that there is no defined limit to a pupil's potential.

The Role:
• Start Date, September 2019.
• Full time, Monday - Friday.
• Salary £60 - 80 per day.

Requirements:
• Relevant experience working in with vulnerable individuals or in a school (voluntary welcome).
• Capable of dealing with challenging behaviour, promoting focus within a classroom environment and giving on-going 1:1 support.
• Able to provide 2 relevant references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
