Protocol Education are working with a Primary School in Thornbury who is looking to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a child in Year 3 who has autism and challenging behaviour.

The role is supporting the child 5 mornings a week with the potential to increase. The successful applicant will be tasked to work on a one-to-one basis with a child and to work towards targets created from their EHCP.

The school are very supportive and they require someone who is able to be adaptable in their approach. They are looking for someone who has preferably experience with challenging behaviour and SEN. This is a very rewarding role and will suit people who come from education and social care backgrounds. The school requires an individual available to start within the next couple of weeks and someone who would also be interested in the role on a long term basis.

The Bristol primary school is fully committed to the development of the successful applicant and will offer their full support, including training.

• UK eligibility to work
• Strong behaviour management & inter personal skills
• The ability to be both dynamic and adaptable
• 2 Professional references dated within the last 6 years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
