This role is based in a special secondary school catering to the needs of 56 children with speech, language and communication difficulties. The ideal candidate for this role will need to be patient, and have a passion towards the academic development of pupils, and the ability to engage, empower and encourage students with special needs. The school takes pride in providing excellent staff who are committed to providing equal opportunities and establishing relationships with parents and carers as they believe children learn best when the school and parents work together. The most important part of your role is to ensure all students are happy, healthy and empowered individuals who participate in, and contribute towards society.
The Role:
• Start Date, September 2019.
• Full time, Monday - Friday.
• The London Borough of Sutton.
• Salary £60 - 80 per day.
Requirements:
• Relevant experience working in schools.
• Previous experience working with SEN children, and passionate about the learning and development of SEND pupils.
• Capable of dealing with challenging behaviour, promoting focus within a classroom environment and giving on-going 1:1 support.
• Able to provide 2 relevant references.
