Teaching Assistant SEMH - HLTA - ASD/SLD/EBD and Admin Experience Based in Ealing

We are currently looking for committed resilient hard working and highly-motivated Higher Level LSA to work in a school is based in Ealing.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to the aims, values and ethos of work within a Special School, or has strong relevant experiences with students who have challenging behaviour, autism, severe learning difficulties and strong admin skills.
The candidate will ideally have experience in ASC and severe learning difficulties, PECs, Makaton, challenging behaviour, ABA, working with challenging parents, ICT knowledge, skills to write an end of term progress report and ability to cover Teachers PPA (when pupil is absent).

You will be working with children aged between 4 and 9 years old; each with statements of Special Education Needs. Most of the children you will be working with have very limited communication skills, and some are completely non-verbal. You will be assisting more than one class, as well as working 1:1 with your selected student. This schools looks after children with Complex needs, SLD and ASD; although, a majority of the time you will spend within one class.
Experience supporting pupils with PMLD and their personal care needs - this will involve changing and feeding. The school has an in-built swimming complex and the successful TA will have to be comfortable in a swimming environment and on occasion may have to enter the pool.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with students with special educational needs either in groups or providing targeted individual support. A level 3 TA qualification is required for this role. The ideal candidate must have strong literacy & numeracy skills as well as a willingness to be flexible.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
