A mixed comprehensive secondary school located in Leicester town centre is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Art and Design (with Textiles experience) to join their welcoming staff team as soon as possible.

• Part Time Teacher of Art and Design required as soon as possible.
• Must hold QTS alongside a relevant degree level qualification within any of the following disciplines; Fine Art, Art, Textiles or Photography.
• Opportunity to work within an Ofsted graded 'Good' secondary school.
• Excellent location, easily accessible via the public transport.

Main Duties:
• To prepare materials as required by the HOD prior to lessons.
• To ensure hand tools are kept in optimum condition and stored correctly.
• To organise extra equipment for lessons.
• To regularly maintain the equipment and tools in the workshop and classroom areas.
• To empty and clean the dust extraction filters as specified by the manufacturer.
• To keep all classrooms organised and free from hazards.
• To assist the ADT staff in developing appropriate resources for teaching and learning.
• To organise materials and tools in the department.
• To undertake the ordering of materials, ingredients and equipment, and stock-taking.
• To support lessons to ensure health and safety is followed.
• To support all areas of ADT in ensuring health and safety is being followed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
