Our school is an independent specialist day school built with a state-of-the-art learning environment which has been created to meet the needs of pupils with autism. The school provides bespoke special education, fashioning the highest standard of autism education to ensure that the most vulnerable individuals are safeguarded and given the best opportunities to learn and grow. As a learning support assistant, you will be required to think ahead, promote respect, hard work and kindness through example. You will be part of an excellent team of staff committed to providing equal opportunities, establishing and developing relationships with parents and carers as they believe children learn best when the school and parents work together. The most important part of your role is to ensure all students are happy, healthy and empowered individuals who participate in, and contribute towards society.

The Role:
• Start Date, September 2019;
• Full time, Monday - Friday;
• The London Borough of Sutton;
• Salary £60 - 80 per day.

Requirements:
• Relevant experience working with children;
• Passionate about the learning and development of pupils with special needs and complex learning needs;
• Capable of dealing with challenging behaviour, promoting focus within a classroom environment and giving on-going 1:1 support;
• Able to provide 2 relevant references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
