About the role
I am working with a school in High Wycombe who require a Core Communicator qualified in BSL to work with pupils aged between 4 and 11 years old.
Working primarily in mainstream classrooms, the successful candidate will support the learning of named pupils who are deaf, primarily by signing to help them communicate more effectively with their class teacher and other hearing pupils.
The suitable candidate will also lead a team of signing assistants providing guidance in adapting their skills for use in the classroom.
You will join the enthusiastic and energetic team of our Hearing-Impaired Department.
The suitable candidate will also be required to supervise and assist the children during the lunchtime period for 30 minutes.
About you
CACDP BSL Level 4 essential/Level 6 desirable
Previous work with Primary age children in a paid or voluntary capacity
