SEND Tutor Required in Wandsworth

Protocol are currently seeking an experienced special needs teacher to provide one to one tutoring to an ASD student living in the borough of Wandsworth. This is a unique role as you will be required to work outside of a school setting and will have to liaise with the students' parents, speech and language therapist and care workers.

This student has a severe level of ASD and is non-verbal and will require a teacher who has the knowledge and experience of working with this level of autism. A primary trained teacher would be favourable as the student is working at a reception level and would benefit from the early key stage teaching.

The borough of Wandsworth has issued 20 hours per week (4 hours per day) tuition to be provided for this student. Despite not working a full day you will still be paid a full day's teacher salary. Main Duties:
• Teaching EYFS/KS1 to SEND student
• Assessing pupil's levels and ability
• Working 1 to 1 with severe ASD
• Differentiating work based on students' needs and abilities
• Preparing, planning and marking work
• Ensuring the schools ethos and policies are being implemented
• Liaising with parents and carers

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
