An Outstanding' secondary school in Westminster are seeking University Graduates with degrees in Science, Maths or English and have an interest in education to work as academic teaching assistants for the rest of the academic year
A key part of this role will be supporting students in either small intervention groups or on a 1:1 basis (KS3 to A Levels). You will be expected to help with additional classes, create a great learning experience and to assist students who need additional help. You will be confident as there will be opportunities where you will be expected to lead small revision classes at GCSE and A Levels.
Our Client secondary school are offering a competitive daily rate of £65 - £85 per day (dependent on experience) Previous experience working with children is desirable for this role. The secondary school are looking for graduates with strong academic grades of 2:2 or higher.
As this is a Graduate Teaching Assistant role you will have guidance from the classroom teachers and the Head of Department and have regular CPD provided. For graduates who are interested in pursuing a career in teaching, this is an exciting way to explore this career path further and there is potential for the school to offer you a teacher training place in the future. It's a great alternative to a PGCE course and will save you from paying a fee if you take this route.
