Protocol Education Leicester are currently looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work at a special school supporting children with complex needs.
You'll need:
• excellent communication skills
• literacy and numeracy skills
• tact and sensitivity
• the ability to deal with challenging behaviour
Your work will depend on the age of the children and their individual needs, but may include:
• helping with schoolwork under the supervision of the teacher
• preparing learning materials
• help pupils to develop their self-confidence, independence and abilities
• supporting children during social activities and outings
• helping children during therapy sessions
• recognising when children are upset and comforting them
• looking after children's physical needs
• giving information and help to teachers
• keeping records
This is role is suited to, but not exclusively for candidates with Team Teach training and experience in delivering personal care.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
