A SEND school based in Charnwood that caters for pupils aged between 3 and 19 with SLD and PMLD.

They require friendly, enthusiastic, motivated and reliable teaching assistants to join their support team. You will be required to provide general classroom support and may also be asked to work on a one to one basis or in small groups. Previous experience of working with PMLD or SLD is a requirement and all applicants must be willing to assist with personal care. Many of the children are non verbal and therefore the ability to use communication aids such as PECS and Makaton would be advantageous. Teaching assistants with, Moving and Handling, Manual Handling, Peg feeding and Medical
Administration training are highly desirable.

This is a full time, long term role with an immediate start.

SEND Teaching Assistant - working with SLD and PMLD
Full time (Mon-Fri)

Ideal Candidate:
Previous PMLD or SLD experience is essential
Willing to provide personal care.
PECS or Makaton experience - highly desirable.
Manual Handling training also highly desirable.
