Year 5 Special Needs Support Role

Start Date: Monday 7th October 2019

My client is a lovely 2 form entry Primary School located in the Mitcham area of Merton. They are currently looking for a support assistant to join them and work on a 1 to 1 basis with a child who has SEMH in Year 5. The boy needs someone who is patient and nurturing, we are specifically looking for someone who can help him feel comfortable at school whilst also raising his attainment levels. I have worked with the school for over 3 years now and they are very supportive of all their staff and a lot of people I have booked in have ended up taking permanent contracts with them. The child in Year 5 can be abusive in terms of his language so previous experience working with children who can present challenging behaviour would be ideal for this role.

Requirements for this role;

  • Experience working with children who have special educational needs within a Primary School setting

  • A highly motivated and enthusiastic personality with a willingness to learn and develop yourself further

  • Full and Clear DBS which we can check on the update service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
