BS7: Child Centre Focused Setting

This inclusive setting is looking for a Qualified Level 3 Practitioner to come and work within their setting

Role: To contribute to a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the setting, ensuring that all needs are met within the daily routine and supporting other personnel within the setting.

Personal Attributes: This job is suited to someone who is an effective communicator working within a team, using their initiative to create a caring, nurturing and stimulating environment for the children in their care. They will need a professional approach to both staff and parents, with a commitment to support the Manager and Deputy.

• Assisting in the care of young children, attending and ensuring their needs are met.
• Implement planning and organisation of learning activities, supporting and engaging the children in play, activities or other learning opportunities.
• Being a Key Person, observing children and creating next steps for them to be implemented into planning.
• Supervising children within a clean and safe environment, adhering to the Health & Safety Policy.
• Uphold standards by adhering to the setting's policies and procedures, ensuring diversity, inclusion, safeguarding of children and confidentiality are all maintain to the highest standard.
• Completing, updating and maintaining records, e.g. daily records, accident forms etc.
• Working effectively within a team, supporting staff, and using their own initiative to contribute to the daily running of the room.
• Recogninsing personal continuous proviosion with the manager, deputy and supervisors. Attending extra training events and staff meetings out of working hours
• Being flexible within their role, supporting the setting where required, contributing to domesticated chores
• Being proactive and motivatedand professional with staff, parents and visitors to the setting.
• Showing confidence in liaising with staff, parents and management daily.
• To cover any other reasonable responsibilities as appropriate, at the request of the Nursery Manager.

Expected: Qualified Practitioners must have:
• Level 3 Qualification (NNEB, CACHE or NVQ).
• Experience working or in placement with children, ideally in an Early Years setting (Nursery, Pre-School, Children's Centre, Reception class)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
