Drama Teacher - September 2019 - North West London

We have a school looking for a Drama teacher to work within a high-achieving school in 2019. This is a one year full-time maternity cover teaching drama across all key stages within an "Outstanding" school in north west London. This is an excellent opportunity to work within one of the best school's within London. The Drama department is well-resourced and boasts excellent facilities. The successful candidate for this post
• Is an outstanding practitioner able to teach Drama and Theatre across KS3, KS4 and Post 16, with the energy to inspire, motivate and challenge students.
• Has a strong academic background, with at least a good honours degree in a Drama discipline and, ideally, a PGCE or equivalent.
• Has a proven knowledge of the new Edexcel Exam Board Exams.
• Enjoys organising and participating in extra-curricular activities.
• Has the ability to take the lead in developing new teaching and learning strategies
• Has a positive can do attitude with colleagues and students.
• Can develop positive working relationships with colleagues and the ability to work as a member of a team.
• Has excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Has the ability to take responsibility and to show initiative.
• Has a positive attitude to managing behaviour in the classroom and other teaching spaces.
• Believes in the right of every student to succeed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
