This role is based in a school for children and young people aged 11-19 with Moderate Learning Difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Speech, Language and Communication difficulties. The ideal candidate for this role will need to be persistent and have a passion towards the academic development of pupils, and ability to engage, empower and encourage students with special needs. Part of your role is to ensure all students are happy and placed at the centre of everything you do, valuing the importance of embracing individual uniqueness within every child within a safe and encouraging environment, so that each pupil can flourish and feel a sense of accomplishment, belonging and acceptance. This school aims to help children realise their potential by embracing different teaching and learning techniques tailored to meet their individual needs.

The Role:
• Start Date, September 2019.
• Full time, Monday - Friday.
• The London Borough of Wandsworth.
• Salary £60 - 80 per day.

Requirements:
• Relevant experience working in schools.
• Previous experience working with SEN children, and passionate about the learning and development of SEND pupils.
• Capable of dealing with challenging behaviour, promoting focus within a classroom environment and giving on-going 1:1 support.
• Able to provide 2 relevant references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
