My client in Redbridge is currently looking for a specialist TA to support a pupil in KS2 providing 1:1 daily support to a pupil with Global Learning Delay, assisting with their academic and social development needs.

You will aid with their literacy and numeracy, providing phonics interventions every week. You will use visual aids to aid with academic development and communication skills. You will ensure the pupil remains engaged within the classroom, helping with their participation and inclusion, by creating and implementing innovative activities and tasks. You will observe the progress of the pupil, and report back any areas that require further intervention to the class teacher and the SENCO. You will be instrumental in the planning and implementation of Individual Education Plans, ensuring that the pupil remains in line with the goals and targets set.

You will be experienced working with SEN pupils within a school, with specific experience working with children with Global Learning Delay. You will be Level 3 qualified, at a minimum, with a commitment to the welfare and safeguarding of the pupils. You will demonstrate patience, reliability and flexibility while maintaining a positive attitude towards your work. You will also have experience working with PECS and other visual aids.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
