SEND - Graduate/SEN TA role - Secondary Schools - Selby

Are you looking for a rewarding support role with secondary students?

We work with mainstream Secondary Schools across the Selby area who are looking for dedicated and passionate SEN TAs to support students within a range of subjects.

Immediate starts.
Temporary contract potential to become permanent.
£60-£80 experience based
Experience with SEN children is desirable though not necessary
Experience/knowledge of specialist subjects would be a bonus

We have trusting relationships with secondary schools across the Selby area. Our schools are looking for resilient and passionate SEN TAs to support KS3 students across all subjects with an added opportunity to help students with your specialised subject. The main aim for the SEN TA will be to ensure the students are on task and to guide them to be able to achieve their full potential regarding the lessons main learning outcomes.

Experience in a Secondary school would be desirable but not essential. Many students you would be working with have individual needs such as ADHD, Autism and Global Delay and therefore experience with these needs would be advantageous. We are looking for individuals to really motivate these students and have an extremely positive attitude to life and to learning - to act as a role model.

From time to time schools may want you to cover lessons so you may be the sole responsible adult watching over the class. In this case the work is all set, you will cover rather than teach. No subject knowledge is required for covering.

This role would be ideal for SEN TAs looking to expand their experience, an aspiring teacher looking to gain that insight into the classroom or an individual who has decided now is the time to make that change and really make a difference to young people's lives. Relevant graduates welcome to apply.
