A modern Primary School local to Archway Underground Station is seeking an experienced Learning Mentor to join their team ASAP. The role will involve supporting individual students and small groups of students helping them over come social or emotional problems that are affecting their learning. The main responsibilities of this role will be;
- working with school staff to select students for mentoring
- discussing the aims of mentoring with pupils
- supporting pupils inside and outside of the classroom
- agreeing and writing action plans
- helping pupils to increase their confidence and self-esteem by listening to them and devising appropriate strategies
The school has a fun and unique learning environment, SLT are very supportive and classrooms boast large glass windows making the learning environment bright and spacious.
Please note. We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
