SEND Teaching Assistant Required

We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant role in a regional school that caters for pupils who are struggling in Mainstream Schools, to support and maintain a high level of learner engagement through collaborative preparation and delivery of an innovative, creative and flexible curriculum.

A successful candidate must:
• Hold a UK Driving Licence and have access to a road worthy vehicle;
• To hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in an education, health or social care setting (e.g. relevant NVQ, PTLLs, A levels);
• To be able to produce evidence of previous CPD (e.g. first aid, safeguarding training, diversity training, CAF/EHC training, IOSHH);
• Have two years' experience of working with children and young people or vulnerable adults within an education, health or social care setting


As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you must have a natural aptitude on the behaviour management and interpersonal skills as well as a very enthusiastic and positive manner. You must be able to have a level of resilience, have a good sense of humour, be able to build rapport easily and will ideally have experience working with students who have Autism, SLD, PMLD or Behaviour Issues.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
