I am urgently recruiting for an outstanding, dedicated Teaching Assistant with recent classroom experience, for a full-time position, to support children with SEN in the early years classes.

The school is an Outstanding' school based only 20 minutes from central London and is very accessible on public transport.

The Role :
The children you will be working with have Autism. You may work on a general basis assisting them in and out of the classroom. You will work closely with other school staff in supporting the children you are working with, often tracking and reviewing the childrens progress. You will assist with school work in various subjects, and will often need to find ways to keep that pupil engaged in lessons. You will need to build a relationship and gain trust from the pupil's in the class in order for you to help them improve and raise their attainment in school.

The ideal candidate will:
• Have Early Years Experience
• Have experience working with SEN children in a school environment
• Have excellent behaviour management skills
• Be able to write IEP's
• Be experienced working with outside agencies
• Be able to communicate with non verbal children
• Have worked with at-risk children or in PRU environments
• Be able to set boundaries and safe work spaces
• Be Team Teach Trained

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
