I am currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a one to one basis in the Shropshire area on a long-term basis. The school are looking for a candidate that can be a positive role model for a child in KS1. The role would be supporting with challenging behaviour and acting as a mentor to the pupil.

Due to the nature of the pupil, the school are ideally looking for a strong candidate as they have found previously this has seen the most progression for the child.

We are looking for someone who can start immediately and be fully committed to the role. This person should have a good understanding of child development.

You will:

• Be a very patient person and have a good understanding of appropriate behaviour management strategies.

• Be highly motivated, have strong teamwork skills and a 'can do' approach to your work

• Be a strong communicator who is a nurturing, patient and positive individual and can build positive relationships with pupils and staff

• Have previous experience in a school setting or experience working with challenging behaviour

• Ideally have Team Teach Training or be willing to undertake training through Protocol Education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
