Behavioural Support Worker

Day to day youth worker to support Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)

Are you dedicated to change a pupil's life?

If you believe that you obtain the resilience to deal with challenging behaviour and inspire a young person life for the better, then this is the job for you.

Protocol Education is looking for a youth worker for an education centre located in the heart of Ealing. This particular role requires perseverance, and confidence, as you may need to handle challenging situations strongly, therefore you will need to be prepared.

Ideally the candidate will have a great understanding of violence, knife crime, sexual exploitation and emotional behaviour. Preferably you will have a passion for working with young people and to know how to deescalate dangerous situations correctly but discreetly.

This specific education centre has aims and objectives targeting the lives of young people for the better. The centre caters for youths as young as 5-16 covering the four key stages offering a pupil referral unit, hospital education and even home tuition. This is specifically designed for young children who suffer from mental health issues and have also been involved with gang culture who are from troubled backgrounds.

This desired education centre takes in pupils from all schools and colleges in Ealing, plus other neighbouring boroughs. Ultimately, you would have a brilliant understanding of social emotional and mental health difficulties. Patience and resilience are pivotal for this position.

Please only apply if you have had Social Emotional Mental Health experience or with challenging behaviour in a provision. You must also have a valid DBS or be prepared to buy one for this specific role.

If you believe this role is fit for you and is of your interest, please do not hesitate to contact Dominic at Protocol Education on 0203 219 7740. Alternatively, you can send me an updated version of your CV to dominic.shephard@protocol-education.com
