Graduate/Cover Supervisor role - Secondary Schools - Selby, North Yorkshire

Are you looking to get into teaching? Or are you wanting to cover a range of subjects to gain that extra experience?

We have many clients across Selby and North Yorkshire looking for dedicated and positive cover supervisors for KS3 and KS4 to cover across a range of subjects in Secondary schools. If you are based around the areas of Selby, Garforth, Tadcaster, York and surrounding areas these roles would be ideal for you.

Immediate start - subject to reference and DBS checks
Daily, short term and longer-term work on a part-time or full-time basis
£60-£70 based on experience
Experience with students is desirable
English/Maths specialism would be advantageous but not essential

This is a fantastic opportunity for you if you are looking to gain experience within teaching across Secondary schools in Leeds and North Yorkshire. This is an opportunity to gain teaching experience on a completely flexible basis, with the option to cover your degree subject if you desire. Often our clients have offered to train our cover supervisors as teachers.

Experience in a Secondary school would be desirable but not essential, you will have excellent communication skills, great numeracy and literacy skills along with a resilient and adaptable personality. Our clients are looking for positive individuals who really can challenge and engage their students. Strong behaviour management is a must. You will be covering lessons with set work, encourage students to learn and progress. Our schools may also offer you extra-curricular activities, should you wish to utilise your skills and interests.

Requirements:
• GCSCE Maths & English
• Confidence to deliver planned lessons to students
• Relevant qualification/degree (Does not have to be a core subject)
• Experience with young people or students
• Drive to succeed and desire to gain the experience
• Strong behaviour management

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
