The schools specialise in meeting the needs of pupils with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties and social communication difficulties, including children on the autistic spectrum. Across the school there are a range of specialist expertise in the area of social, emotional and behavioural needs and social communication difficulties. The school operates in as empathic manner as possible to take account of these varied special needs. The informal approach of the staff, the teaching, curriculum and environment are all aimed at maximizing the inclusion of all pupils. As a learning support assistant, you will provide support to pupils in small groups of 6 with a teacher or on a 1:1 basis. Opportunities for academic, sporting, vocational and social growth are offered throughout the school , the care and education offered by the school ensures that the children who progress and graduate from the school have the skills and self-confidence to look after themselves, care for others, gain long-term employment and lead adult lives that are happy, healthy and fulfilled.

What do I need to apply?
• Experience caring for vulnerable individuals.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to complete this).
• Enthusiastic attitude towards inspiring children.

Pay: £60-£80 a day.
• Location: The London Borough of Croydon.
• Position: Teaching and Learning support Assistant.
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30-4pm (can be flexible for the right applicant)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
