Protocol Education are currently looking for a driven and experienced teaching assistant to work as a special needs 1 to 1 support worker within a Primary School in Wimbledon. You would be working with a Year 4 child who has high functioning autism, therefore the job would still suit someone with no experience in Special Needs but who was willing to learn and develop.

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have good verbal and written communication skills
• Have the ability to carry out instructions
• Can remain calm and patient in stressful situations
• Have the ability to work as part of a team and on their own initiative.
• Can establish positive working relationships with adults and children

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £40.00.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
