Job Description
Nursery Room Assistant / Key Worker
Start Date: As soon as possible
Interview date: To be arranged at a mutually convenient time

Salary
Salary range: Full time equivalent £20,280 - £25,480 according to qualification and experience

Purpose of Post:
  • To contribute a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for all children in their care
  • To give support to other team members throughout within their immediate team and the wider nursery
  • To work as part of a team in order to provide an enabling environment in which all children can play, learn and develop

Key area:
  • Work with teach and support children
  • Work as part of a team
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with parents

Responsible to: Nursery Headteacher - direct supervisor Room Leader

Job Role:
  • To contribute to a programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children in your area in conjunction with other team members
  • Participate in a 'keywoker' system and take special interest in a specified number of children
  • To keep records of your key childrens development and learning journals
  • Complete progress checks as laid out in the Early Years Foundation Stage on your key children and share these with parents
  • Engage in a good team working
  • Liaise with and support parents and other family members

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
