Psychology Teacher - North West London - Starting From October 2019

We are seeking a Psychology teacher. The successful candidate will be a committed teacher with a track record of leading pupils to achieve great results. They will share the school's vision and the belief that all young people can achieve at high levels. There will be significant career progression available for the successful candidate.

Key responsibilities
• Ensure that pupils are making appropriate progress in Psychology, and that own teaching and learning is of a high quality;
• Raise the profile of the psychology amongst pupils in Key Stage 3 and 4 so that we have a strong Key Stage 5 cohort;
• Explore the right Key Stage 4 offer;
• Oversee the pastoral care of pupils;
• Collaborate closely with parents to ensure that they are aware of their children's progress, engaged in their development and supporting them in their vision for the future;
• Create a purposeful learning environment;
• Support the Academy Leadership Team to set vision and direction for the Secondary phase in line with Academy vision;
• Set a vision and targets for pupil success;
• Track progress, regularly monitor reports on progress, identify and deliver interventions where appropriate;
• Align with and uphold the Academy vision, standards of behaviour, discipline and exclusion policy;
• Deal effectively and sensitively with child protection issues.
• Undertake other various responsibilities as directed by the Academy Leadership Team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
