Protocol Education has a great opportunity at a warm and welcoming school in Bedford for a part-time design and technology teacher to play a full role in the DT department. This positions starts in January or sooner and is a part-time 14.8 hours per week (0.4 FTE) / 40 weeks per year position.

The successful candidate for this design technology teaching job in Bedford will be joining a vibrant close-knit community in a rapidly growing academy situated by beautiful open countryside and lakes.

As a Design and Technology Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:

  • Working collaboratively with other members of the teaching team and providing leadership and support where appropriate.
  • Taking a role in the preparation and development of teaching materials and teaching programmes as appropriate
  • Ensuring there is a high quality climate for learning within lessons and promote the values of the Academy

The ability to teach at least two of the following subjects at KS3; Art, Technology, Computing, History, Geography, Physical Education, Religious Education and Modern Foreign Languages would be most welcome along with and secure knowledge of the characteristics of effective learning, teaching and assessment.
