My client is located in the beautiful area of Clifton, a gorgeous Victorian building set over 4 floors for children aged from 0 years to Pre-school age. The nursery setting is particularly proud of their ample outdoor play space, children can venture around using bikes or run around in their open space / role play in their fantastic mini houses, if this is not their interest then they can delve into a spot of gardening.

Information about the job;

Responsible to: Room manager and Nursery Manager

An Early Years Practitioner will have at least 1 years nursery experience post qualifying to CACHE/BTEC/NNEB/NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Children's, Care Learning and Education & Education and demonstrate sound knowledge of the Early Years foundation stage and Ofsted standards.

Reporting to this post: Early years practitioners, Early Years Assistants (including unqualified staff & students) assigned to this room.

• To be a part of a room, responsible for achieving the desired outcomes within your rooms on a daily, weekly and monthly basis as required by the Manager
• To ensure that children are safe, cared for and educated to the highest standard at all times
• Effective practice, exemplifying good practice and being a role model for other staff.
• Working as part of a team, ensuring all learning, development and health and safety requirements are met.
• Be responsible for key children, their relationships and their learning and development. (including journals and documents)

Thereby supporting the room Manager by running the room to agreed policies, procedures and directed tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities

a) Organisational responsibilities

• Responsible for the children's social and educational development. This involves planning and supervising activities including reading, art and craft, music and cooking. The Room Manager is responsible for observing and monitoring children. They will work closely with parents and report any concerns.
• Responsibility for the safety of the children is an important aspect of the work. Physical care such as feeding, nappy changing, health, welfare and security forms a large part of the work. The Room Manager may also be required from time to time to make reports on a child's development.
• To deliver a service of the highest standard that will develop and improve each child's quality of life. To respect each child as an individual, taking in its appropriate needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
