Protocol Education are currently recruiting Autism Support workers to support young people with varying requirements related to a diagnosis of ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), on a day to day basis.

The successful candidate will work closely with a team of professionals to provide tailored and specific support for young people who have additional requirements in either academic or communicative development. A large part of this role is relationship and stability building for the young person, and we are particularly keen to speak to those with Makaton/PECs experience, or those who have proven experience of working within a SENd setting.

The right candidate will be responsible, as they will be responsible for either one young person on a 1:1 basis, or a small group when delivering interventions. They will have experience of supporting ASC in some capacity (preferably within a school or social care support role). Access to your own transport is preferred as some work is across multiple sites, and you must be available for a minimum of 3 days per week.

The role:
Support autistic students in your care to complete day to day tasks.
Ensure all personal care needs are met if necessary/appropriate.
Follow Care and Education plans set to specific individual requirements.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
