A fantastic primary school in New Cross in Lewisham are searching for a bright teaching assistant to join them ASAP. This is a one year contract working 8.30am-4pm full-time. The Primary School are looking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in Year 5 with SEMH. There will also be responsibility to work with intervention groups. The primary school is near to Woolwich station. Ideally the teaching assistant will have previous experience working with SEN children and a strong academic background. In September 2020 there is an opportunity to complete your primary teacher training.

Graduates who are personable, academic, creative and/or sporty are ideal for this role. Prior experience working with SEN children is ideal for this position. The child has SEMH needs.

A graduate with a degree graded 2:2 or above is ideal for this role and the candidate must have a minimum of a C in their GCSE Maths and English.

This is a fantastic platform for aspiring teachers to gain valuable experience in preparation for completing their teaching training the following year.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
