We are currently recruiting for an Catering Assistant for a prestigious school in north Derbyshire.

You will be responsible for:
To work as part of a team to provide a comprehensive catering service for students and staff whilst adhering to hygiene, health and safety regulations and to carry out cleaning duties as per the cleaning schedule. Furthermore, you will have to supervise students during lunchtime and work as a team to clear the dining halls ready for the afternoon lessons.

Day to day task:
Prepare, cook and present food for meal service, This will include peeling, chopping and cooking vegetables, cooking jacket potatoes, preparing sandwich fillings, buttering bread, making sandwiches, wraps and salads.
Prepare the dining area, including the erection and dismantling of dining furniture.
Load service counters and ensure sufficient supplies throughout the service period.
Operate the tills during service times and complete all necessary sales controls and documentation for each service.
Wash crockery, cutlery and serving dishes.
Maintain high standards in the hygiene of food preparation, storage and sale of food and comply with Food Hygiene Regulations at all times.
Provide high levels of customer service, reporting any customer feedback to the Catering Manager.
Prepare for and assist at any special functions which may occur outside normal working hours e.g. Parents' Evenings, Speech Night, open evenings.
Assist the department to continue to develop the catering service and the school's approach to Healthy Eating.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
