A successful co-education Academy local to Chingford are looking for a KS4 English Teacher to join their team. A school who challenges and extends the abilities of every student in order to prepare them to contribute positively to the communities in which they live giving them A Firm Foundation for Life. The school prides themselves developing young people who are caring, resourceful and inspired to succeed by providing a safe, inclusive and disciplined environment. This is 6 week position starting 11th. The ideal candidate must have a friendly and positive approach to teaching and learning, as well as the ability to quickly build up strong relationships with individual children is important. Being able to work in a team of other professionals is also an integral part of this role. Salary is negotiable dependent on experience.

The successful candidate will require the following:

•Must have previous classroom experience with secondary key stages
•Be proven to raise and maintain attainment levels, keeping standards high.
•Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent behaviour management strategies.
•Mark work, provide feedback and maintain records of pupils' progress and development
•Have an English related degree with a PGCE and QTS
•Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for English.
•Commitment and reliability.
•Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
•Able to provide two school-based references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
