Protocol Education are looking for an experienced Behaviour Mentor to work in a vibrant and supportive Secondary school in South West London.

Protocol Education are working with a large, modern Secondary School that achieved a Outstanding' during their recent Ofsted Inspection. Their goal is to use the power of education to transform lives. They have a large SEND department which works with a high percentage of students with challenging behaviour.
They state:
Teachers know pupils' academic starting points and use the information to plan tasks that meet the needs of all pupils very well, including the most able and those who have SEN and/or disabilities. Teaching is of consistently excellent quality in mathematics, English and humanities.

Learning Support Assistants Responsibilities:
• Supporting a mixed class of students aged 13 -16 (KS3 & KS4).
• Carrying out behaviour management in line with the school's policies and procedures
• Supporting pupils inside and outside the classroom.
• Accompanying and supporting students with their academic and personal development.
• Being proactive in the class to ensure your learning support is tailored to each child's individual need.

Protocol Education are seeking individuals with a desire and passion to support vulnerable children who have experience working with Special Education Needs students. The perfect candidate would ideally have some form of behaviour management training, ideally team teach, manual handling or STEPS training, although this is desired, it is not essential. Above all, you must be approachable, enthusiastic and promote positive behaviour management and guidance to aid progression and personal development. This is a wonderful class of students who need consistency and a regular friendly face and someone they can trust and work with on a personal level.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
