An exciting opportunity has become available in one of our North Tynesidebased schools starting the first week back in November. The school are looking for Literacy and Numeracy Specialist with preferably further or higher education in English or Mathematics.
As the Literacy and Numeracy Specialist you will be responsible for taking group intervention and building on the skills of the students that may be lacking in specific areas. You will encourage and support the students with your ultimate goal being to give the students the confidence they need when taking the end of year SATS.
The school would prefer a candidate that has primary experience and must have a strong will to commit to the role. The placement will be for the full academic year with the possibility of it becoming permanent.
You must have:

·A Relevant qualification in supporting in education (Level 2 or 3 - Preferred)
·Experience working in schools or educational settings (Preferred)
·An ability to work confidently with children, with a professional approach
·A valid DBS (Can apply if needed)
·Eligibility to work in the UK
·Two references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
