We are currently looking for a friendly and approachable Secondary Teacher who can engage in multiple disciplines, with a strong passion in working with vulnerable students and a general passion for education.

The position will be based within the Middlesbrough area working with various councils and local authorities providing alternative education to vulnerable and looked after children on a 1:1 basis. The role would be suitable for those looking for a flexible working time rota, but also holds full time positions Monday to Friday in certain bases and provisions.

The students face daily challenges in managing and controlling their emotions for many different reasons and come under the SENd category, so it's very important for us to find the right fit for the role. Due to the travel involved this role may not be suitable for those who use public transport, so a driver would be preferred but not essential.

Key Qualifications and qualities required:

·Recognised QTS or QTLS within a specific Secondary subject, preferably a core curriculum subject
·An ability to plan, deliver and assess across KS3 to KS4.
·Team Teach training (not mandatory, but would be desirable)
·An empathetic and understand person who can deliver with a personal approach
·A genuine interest to help those in need with a nurturing approach that comes naturally
·Being able to remain focused and calm, be reactive to potential issues that may occur with the ability to recognise triggers and diffuse the situation before escalation

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
