Role: Autism Specialist in Primary School
Age: 4 - 11 years old
Days: Monday - Friday
Time: 8:30am - 4:00pm

Situated in the heart of Islington this two form-entry Primary School is seeking a dedicated and hard-working Autism specialist to work with individual and small groups of children on the Autistic spectrum. The right candidate will support children between the ages of 4 -11 years old, they will work closely with class teachers and the schools SENDCO. The school is minutes from Angel or Highbury & Islington station so easily accessible from all corners of London and offers excellent opportunities for personal development through internal and external training.

It will be will be beneficial if you have;

•Experience supporting Children with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 basis
•Experience with Makaton
•Experience with PECS
•Enthusiastic and outgoing personality
•Excellent team work and communication skills
•A high regard for inclusion and equality
• The ability to make a positive contribution to the school as a whole

As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
