Protocol Education are currently looking for Nursery Nurse or Nursery Assistants in Kingston Upon Thames area:

Job Type: day-to-day/long term

You must have at least an NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent in Childcare and a minimum of 1-3 years experience in early years setting and a very good understanding of EYFS curriculum.

Salary: £9.25 - £11 Per hour dependent on qualification and experience.

Job role:

- Safeguarding and caring for the children as part of a team and using own initiative
- Meeting the needs of each individual child
- Take on the role of Key Person
- Ensure all paperwork is completed on time and filed away daily and weekly
- Carry out activities for children supporting the Early Years Curriculum
- Monitor children's progress
- Record keeping of children's progress and development
- Build strong relationships with parents and provide them with relevant information
- Support children in the nursery with their play and social development
- Create environment and learning experiences which promote the principals set out in the EYFS
- Work as part of a team ensuring high staff morale within the team is maintained

The right candidate's will

- Hold a Level 2 or 3 or higher qualification in Childcare (NVQ or Equivalent)
- Carry out activities which enable children to develop and learn
- Be passionate about improving outcomes for all children
- Have up-to-date knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum and Framework
- Have a mature and professional attitude to work
- Have clear knowledge of development and emotional needs of children

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £40.00.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
