After School Club Manager- Term Time (PE11203972)

Main duties:
  • Take responsibility for drawing up long term, medium term and sessional curriculum plans which ensure that each child is working towards the Early Years Foundation Stage; to monitor the effectiveness of the pre-school curriculum
  • Responsible for providing a high quality of teaching, ensuring that staff are properly deployed and offer appropriate stimulation and support to the children's attitude and behaviour to learning
  • Supervise the daily programme of pre-school/after school club activities and events
  • Ensure records are properly maintained, e.g. daily register, daily risk assessment, accident and incident forms
  • Liaise closely with parents/carers, informing them about the pre-school/after school club and its curriculum, exchanging information about children's progress and encouraging parents' involvement
  • To attend in-service training and meetings as required
  • To produce monthly or quarterly newsletter to parent/carer

Person specification:
  • Essential criteria:
  • Experience of working in a pre-school setting
  • CACHE Level 3 in Childcare and Education, Diploma in Pre-school Practice, NVQ level III or equivalent.
  • Current Paediatric First Aid certificate
  • Ability to write clear reports

Working hours:
Monday-Friday: 2.45pm - 6pm

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
