Are you an experienced Support Assistant that specialises in working with children with Autism? If so, WE NEED YOU.

An opportunity has become available in one of our North Tyneside based schools starting mid November. The school are looking for a Level 3 Support Assistant who specialises in working with children with ASC.
As the ASC Support Specialist, you will work 1:1 with two students in a year 6 class. You will be responsible for helping to differentiate work, motivating and encouraging the students, recognising difficulties and offering emotional support when trying new things and have open communication with the pupil's teacher and parents
Applicants must have experience working with children with ASC and must be prepared for the role to change weekly depending on the children's needs. The role will initially be until the Christmas break with the school looking to extend the placement until the summer.
You must have:

·A Relevant qualification in support (Level 2 or 3)
·Experience working in schools or educational settings with children with ASC
·An ability to work confidently with children, with a professional approach
·A valid DBS (Can apply if needed)
·Eligibility to work in the UK
·Two references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
