The school I am working with are looking for teaching assistants to start as soon as possible with the view to go permanent.

The school is an outstanding (Ofsted) maintained special school for pupils from 11-18 with PMLD/SLD/MDVI and autism. It benefits from excellent staffing ratios, small class sizes and a highly personalised approach to learning.

This position has arisen due to increased head count on the school roll and the opening of an additional class to support this group.

The ideal candidate would have a proven record of supporting SEN students and have a basic understanding of PECS and Makaton.

Teaching Assistants with special school or mainstream experience are welcome to apply, graduates also looking to gain experience in a special needs classroom are encouraged to apply.

This school is easily accessible with free parking.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
